Rolling Stoppies In A Karizma

The most common motorcycle stunt among the youth bikers are stoppies. Although many have learned to do a stoppie, only a very few people are capable of doing a rolling stoppie. In the following image you can see   a rolling stoppie. It looks like a normal stoppie, but it is in fact a rolling one.

 

If you wish to do a stunt like that, you should practice normal stoppies first. You should get rid of the fear of flipping towards the front and hitting your precious head. Once you have had enough practice in that, start doing trials by applying partial brakes. A 40% pressure of your normal stoppie braking at a speed of 35-40 kmph would do the job. Hold the tank with your thighs and lean towards the front to shift the centre of gravity. Apply the brakes comfortably when you feel that the rear wheel is going up. With practice you can achieve it.

Mahindra’s Duro DZ is Receiving a Tremendous Response

After having consistent fall in sales in for last few months, Mahindra Two Wheeler is now picking up in sales, thanks to its recently launched Duro DZ. Duro DZ has received an amazing response and it’s sales is up almost 200% in comparison to February 2012. The company has sold more than 10,000 Duro DZ in the month of March 2012. This is very encouraging for Mahindra Two wheelers which has seen fall in sales for the financial year 2012-13.

 Mahindra Duro DZ has new 125cc engine which delivers better mileage compared to its previous model. It has fuel tank of 6.5 liters which ensures that you will have less trip to fuel stations. It also offers ample storage as it has largest, 20 liter under seat storage and front dickey storage.  It has advanced telescopic suspension which offers smooth ride. Apart from this it has got new design and graphics which makes it more stylish.

 

Commenting on success of Duro DZ, Viren Popli, Senior Vice President Strategy and Market Development, Mahindra Two Wheelers said “ The fact that retail volumes for the new Duro DZ have more than doubled in March has proved that consumers across the country have appreciated the products ‘Romba Solid’ value proposition which makes it the most suitable 125cc scooter for tough Indian roads.”

The company was reporting huge fall in sales from last few months. However, with the success of Duro DZ it has reported almost flat sales compared to last year. The company has reported sales of 12,750 units in March 2012 which is just 21 units less compared to sales of 12,771 units for the month of March 2011. On the month on basis the sales is up almost 53% as the company sold 8,355 units in February 2012. On the year on year basis the company has reported 18% sales decline. The company has sold 1,34,570 units in the financial year 2011-12 compared to 1,63,914 units in the financial year 2010-11.

It seems that the company will back in growth trajectory after the worst year in company history. The company will have good sales in upcoming month as Duro DZ volume will pick up and the company will also re-launch Stallio motorcycle.

Suzuki NEX115 Launches in Philippines

Suzuki Philippines has launched its next generation scooter NEX115 in Philippines to capture the larger market share in Philippines two wheeler market. This is company’s first 115cc scooter in Philippines and it comes with next generation technology from Suzuki. NEX115 is sporty, economical and convenient scooter targeted to students and new rider as their first scooter.

The Suzuki NEX115 is packed with the roller-type rocker arm-the first in Asean scooter, which enables the scooter to have a solid intake and exhaust of gasoline.  Featuring a BS type carburetor with Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) that helps to reduce fuel consumption as it prevents over supply of gasoline from the carburetor, newly designed CVT that are both lightweight and compact which also help fuel economy without lowering acceleration and performance and compact and lightweight Magneto that has smaller and lighter internal components-all of which also helps reduce fuel consumption.

Designed with comfort in mind, the Suzuki NEX115 also comes with a low 735mm seat height for easier hand ling and bike controls especially for new motorcycle riders, a spacious 4.5 liter under seat compartment, adequate foot board, and a newly designed frame that gives riders a more stable ride.  The Suzuki NEX115 likewise features impressive, head-turning aesthetics with its sleek headlight, easy to read and highly visible speedometer that is highly visible on any riding condition.

The company has continuously increased its market share in Philippines. Last year it has 14% market share which increases to 18% this year and it currently holds number 3^rdposition up from the last year’s 4^th position. The company aims to sell 1,20,000 units this year in Philippines The company assembled this scooter in Indonesia and imports in Philippines. The Suzuki NEX115 retails at a suggested retail price of P60,900 (Rs. 73,000 approximately) and comes in Pearl Flash Green, Pear Sakura Pink and Brilliant White color. The company aims to sell 2,000 units a month in Philippines market.  With the launch of NEX115 Suzuki will definitely achieve its sales target this year.
